The Estate
Fratelli Pasqua is a family owned winery founded in 1925.  The new generation of Verona brothers Carlo and Giorgio firmly embraced the path of quality production.  Cortenova is an exclusive label used by Kysela Père et Fils, LTD. The famous consult oeologist Franco Bernabei has worked for the Pasqua family for years.

The Vineyard
The vineyards are located on a south to south east exposure and lie at about 200 meters above sea level. The soil is rich in clay and limestone. The vines are an average of 15 years old. Their philosophy focus on a special care of the vineyards, the grapes and the vinification process.

High density vineyards located in the Salento in southwestern Apulia. Vines are trained on "alberello" (bush vines).
Dense ruby red color with violet hues.
A warm, spicy bouquet filled with bright, ripe berry and plum aromas. It is is harmonious and rich with soft tannins, ripe fruit and a delicate spiciness on the finish. Excellent with lamb, grilled and barbecued meats, dishes with olives or capers and seasoned cheeses.
