Chateau Mas Neuf
Costieres de Nimes (Rhone)

The Estate
This 140 hectare (345 acres) property is located in Gallician, in the Costières de Nîmes area, south of the Rhone Valley.
Luc Baudet took over the estate in 2000.
The vines are 30 years old on average (from 3 to 90 years old) and consist mainly of Syrah (45%), Grenache Noir (25%), Carignan (10%), Mourvèdre (6%), Cinsault (5%), Grenache Blanc (4%) and Roussanne (5%) for a total area of 65 hectares, topped off a hectare of olive trees.
Some small parcels here and there are planted and worked experimentally with high quality varietals not common in the area: Viognier, Chardonnay and Merlot.
