Red ruby color; black pepper and vanilla flavors and some mature black fruit taste too. Well-balanced, well-structured and elegant in mouth displaying some splendid taste of fruit and bouquet too. "Bright ruby. Cherry-vanilla and cassis on the nose, with oak spice and anise notes adding complexity. Juicy, broad and supple, with very good depth to its cherry compote and dark berry flavors. The vanilla note returns on the finish, which is sweet, smooth and long. This is delicious and fully mature." - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (September/October 2011), 90 pts - Gold medal: International Wine and Spirit Competition 2011 (IWSC) - Silver medal: Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2011 - Silver medal: Challenge International du Vin de Bordeaux 2011 - Bronze medal: Decanter 2011 National Retail Price: $19.99 / bottle |

#S0EE229006TPS UPC code: 7 84585 01289 9 2010 Burgo Viejo, Palacio de Verano, Rioja 12/750ml 85% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha & 5% Carignan. Palacio de Verano Tinto blends the concept of the intensely fruity young wines traditionally made in Rioja and the concept of the Crianzas that made this region world-famous. The result is a complex wine that impresses for its intensity right from the moment it is poured in the glass. Palacio de Verano has an intense cherry color, the taste is ripe and fruity, with raspberry, violet, spice and cocoa aromas. Velvety, fresh and long lasting taste in the mouth. "The 2010 Palacio de Verano is 100% Tempranillo displaying plenty of spice notes, savory black fruit flavors, and a medium-long finish. Drink this very good value over the next 4 years." Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (Jay Miller, June 2011), 87 pts "Bright ruby. Red and dark berry aromas show an appealing, straightforward jammy quality. Juicy and open-knit, with modest depth but decent energy to the bitter cherry and raspberry flavors. The brisk finish features a lingering bitterness; this would be good slightly chilled." - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (September/October 2011), 87 pts AWARDS: - Commended - International Wine Challenge 2011 - Silver Medal - Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2011 National Retail Price: $/ bottle |
