2007 Tres Ojos, Old Vine Garnacha, Tinto, Calatayud 12/750ml
"Bright
ruby color. Primary dark berry aromas are simple but offer
very good purity and focus. Juicy blackberry and bitter cherry
flavors are youthfully tangy, with good back-end acidity
adding snap. The clean, brisk finish leaves behind notes of
sweet dark berry preserves and cracked pepper. As usual, this
is a very good bargain, even with the lousy dollar."

2006 Tres Ojos, Old Vine Garnacha, Tinto, Calatayud 12/750ml
"Tres Ojos" means "Three Eyes", named
after a local bridge in the city of Calatayud with three
arches.
Made from 100%
Old Vine Garnacha (40-50 year old vines). The wine ferments for 7 days at 30ºC, followed
by 14 days maceration on the skins. Aged 12 months in large stainless steel vats. Cold
stabilized and lightly filtered before bottling.
The wine has a brick red color with a bouquet of leather,
spice and pepper. The palate is incredibly concentrated and
rich. The modern styles of Garnacha in Spain are continuously
being perceived worldwide as wines of extraordinarily good
quality. This wine is
fruity, juicy and shows a great depth, ripe tannins, length but yet
with wonderful elegance and lightness. Enjoy with sausages,
roasted meats, cheeses etc.
"It
has spicy raspberry fruit, good tannin and structure.
Excellent for casual, beefy fare such as burgers or steaks."
- Washington Post (Dec. 08) - VERY GOOD
"Tres Ojos is produced at the Bodega San Gregorio, a
cooperative located in the Ribota River Valley. It is named
for the three arches of a local viaduct in the valley which is
the origin of the 92 percent Garnacha (40+ years old) and 8
percent Tempranillo in this wine. Medium dark ruby color, the
Old Vines Garnacha Tinto is aged 12 months in large steel
vats. It has a rich, fruity nose of red plums and spice and
reveals ripe tannins and dark plum fruit on the soft, nicely
textured palate. A well-balanced wine with a long finish, and
a truly excellent buy."

Fresh, crisp and juicy Rose made of Garnacha and Tempranillo
displaying beautiful strawberry and raspberry fruits. Enjoy
with salads, chicken or as an aperitif. Serve chilled.
2006 Tres Ojos, Rosado, Garnacha
Tempranillo, Calatayud 12/750ml
"Medium pink. Dried strawberry and raspberry aromas
are accented by orange peel and dusty minerals. Ripe and
toasty, with warm red berry flavors and a rich, fleshy
texture. I'd serve this substantial rose with food as it's a
bit much for aperitif duty."
