This week's feature is a highly-rated, super premium selection from Argentina's Chakana Winery - their icon wine, Ayni Malbec.

Chakana describes Ayni as "the result of our permanent quest for the best Malbec terroirs that Mendoza can offer." It is 100% Malbec, harvested by hand, aged for 12 months in new French oak.

Wine Spectator recently gave the current 2013 vintage 92 points, calling it "suave, rich and well-spiced, offering loads of dark plum, currant and dried blackberry flavors. Molten chocolate notes emerge mid-palate, with Asian spice accents. Presents a long and ripe finish, accented by loamy details."
