The Vineyard Located in the northern reach of the Willamette Valley, the vineyard is sited on a hill with views of Patton Valley to the southwest and the Tualatin Valley to the east. This is a 72-acre parcel with the ideal combination of soil, exposure and elevation. The vineyard currently consists of 23 acres planted to a diverse selection of Pinot noir clones. Utilizing sustainable farming practices, coupled with intense hands-on viticulture and low-impact winemaking techniques, they produce wines that are true to the variety and to their particular site, striving for balanced wines with supple texture, richness and ripe fruit flavors. |

#O0EE188007PNM UPC code: 7 84585 00549 5 2011 Patton Valley, Pinot Noir 12/750ml #O0EE188005PNM UPC code: 7 84585 00549 5 2009 Patton Valley, Pinot Noir 12/750ml This wine is a hedonist's dream, viscous and silky smooth. Surprisingly savory aromatics of leather and black tea quickly give way to sweeter sensations of fresh baked spice cake and cola. The 2009 is a cornucopia of mixed berries with notes of sweet black cherry and cassis. Luscious fruit, broad tannins, beautifully integrated oak and sensational acidity coalesce to create this balanced and enjoyable wine. Oregon Pinot noir is rarely enjoyed so young, so take this opportunity to enjoy it now or cellar 4-7 years. "The 2009 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley displays a pretty nose of cinnamon, clove, potpourri, and red fruits. Forward, tasty, and well-balanced, like many of wines of the vintage, it could have used more depth and concentration." - Wine Advocate (October 2011), 88 pts #O0EE188004PNM UPC code: 7 84585 00549 5 2008 Patton Valley, Pinot Noir 12/750ml "Light, bright red. High-pitched aromas of strawberry, raspberry and rose are complemented by notes of white pepper and orange zest. Sweet red fruit flavors are lifted by a tangy mineral note and framed by silky tannins. A hint of smokiness arrives on the finish, which is juicy, focused and nicely persistent." - Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (July 2010), 90 pts "Light and succulent, packaging its seductive red cherry, pomegranate, caramel and mineral flavors in a wispy blanket of fine tannins, deftly balanced to let it all sing harmoniously as the finish lingers. Drink now through 2018." - Wine Spectator's Insider (Aug. 2010), 92 pts "The 2008 Pinot Noir Estate Grown was aged in 43% new oak for 11 months. It gives up an expressive nose of spice box, incense, smoke, black cherry, and black raspberry. Smooth-textured, succulent, and structured, it has plenty of spicy black fruit, lively natural acidity, and the balance to evolve for 2-3 years. This lengthy effort will be at its best from 2012 to 2020." - Wine Advocate (Oct. 2010), 91 pts 2007 Patton Valley, Pinot Noir 12/750ml "Patton Valley lies outside all of the Willamette Valley’s six new sub-AVAs, not far from Yamhill-Carlton. This estate wine has an ethereal scent of fresh raspberries, grounded with a whiff of tree bark and earth. The flavors remain fresh and exuberant – as if red cherries would burst from the glass were it not for the earthy savory checking the fruit. It has the structured, savory presence for veal with trufflles." - Wine & Spirits (December 2009), 94 pts "A gorgeous light garnet in color, this wine has a nose of wet green wood, forest floor, and plummy fruit aromas. In the mouth it is lean and bright and stony in flavor, with plum and dark cranberry fruit that have a cool crystalline quality to them. Perfectly balanced with great acidity, these flavors linger in a very nice finish. Score: around 9." - Vinography (Aug 09) National Retail Price: $34.95 / bottle #O0GG188006PNM UPC code: 7 84585 01398 2 2009 Patton Valley, Pinot Noir 12/375ml This wine is a hedonist's dream, viscous and silky smooth.
