Emilie graduated in 2013 from the University of Tennessee with a major in French and a concentration in World Business. After spending some time as an English Teaching Assistant in Lille, France, Emilie worked for two years in wine & spirits retail in the heart of Mississippi, where she first became intrigued with the world of wine.
Emilie completed the Introductory Sommelier Course and Exam from the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2015 and obtained the Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) title from the Society of Wine Educators in 2016. She hopes to continue her education in the future and is passionate about the industry, including beer and spirits. Emilie joined the Kysela team in April 2016.
In her spare time Emilie enjoys singing, reading science fiction books, learning new languages, traveling and yoga.
