Domaine Roy et Fils
United States - Oregon

Marc-André Roy and Jared Etzel continued in their father’s footsteps when they founded Domaine Roy et Fils in 2012. Their fathers had been partners in establishing Beaux Freres winery over twenty years prior. Family ties continue to be important at Domaine Roy et Fils - in 2013, Miguel Lopez joined the Domaine Roy et Fils winemaking team, following his father Santiago’s role as head of Beaux Frères’ vineyard.

The focus of Domaine Roy et Fils is producing wines “of purity and transparency at the highest level from select vineyards in Oregon’s Willamette Valley”. Maison Roy et Fils continues their families’ traditions of making fine wine through meticulous work in these Estate vineyards.

Dundee Estate was once a hazelnut orchard in the heart of the Willamette Valley. Thirteen high density acres of Pinot Noir and two acres of Chardonnay were planted in 2013 on a south facing hillside single panel that ranges in elevation from 400 to 600 feet. Dundee Estate’s volcanic soil embedded with basalt rock is farmed organically.

Carlton Estate’s elevation ranges from 360 to 550 feet and is surrounded to the south and east by an oak Savannah. Also farmed organically, Carlton Estate’s mineral driven marine sedimentary soils with a unique occurrence of crystalline quartz is planted to twenty-four acres Pinot Noir and two acres Chardonnay.
