The wine is produced from vineyards that are located in the Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, spreading over 66 hectares. The vines are organically grown on gravel and clay soils that benefit from favorable south-south-east facing slopes and plateaux.
The Cotes de Bordeaux is dark ruby in color, luscious and fleshy with juicy blackberry and currant aromas. Round, ample and well-balanced with a fresh finish.
Great match with poultry and cheese.
This Merlot with 20% Cabernet Sauvignon from a 160-acre vineyard was aged in wood for 12 months, enhancing the richness and generosity of the blackberry flavors. Ripe tannins play well into the concentration of a wine that will age. Drink from 2023. - Roger Voss

"This smoky wine already shows a fine balance between oak, spice and bright red fruit. It's structured to age but is also attractive now; its juicy berry flavors show easily through the tannins. Drink from 2019. - Roger Voss"

"From the gravel and clay site near Cadillac, this blend of Merlot (60percent) with cabernets Sauvignon and Franc is delicate and sophisticated, with a pretty line of strawberry-scented fruit. Fresh and zesty, it will add some lift to braised rabbit."

"The real steal here is the 2009 Cotes de Bordeaux red, a blend of two-thirds Merlot and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and a small amount of Cabernet Franc. A deep ruby/plum color is followed by sweet black currant, licorice, camphor and forest floor aromas. Medium-bodied with copious fruit and soft tannins, it is ideal for drinking over the next several years. "
