Dark color with violet reflection. The nose exhibits fresh notes of violet and blackberries that are typical characteristics of wines made from Malbec in the Cahors district. On the palate, the fruit is very obvious (again blackberries and dark cherries). The wine is very tensed and long. It is extremely fresh and lively.
A great wine to sip away with some cold meat or just a nice pasta dish with tomatoes.
"Made all from Malbec brought up in tank (no oak), the 2015 Cahors Maintenant offers plenty of black and blue fruits as well as peppery herbs to go with a medium-bodied, rounded, nicely textured style on the palate. It has terrific purity of fruit, ample Malbec character, and a great finish. The Cahors region has just about fallen off the map recently, but this would be a great introduction for readers wanting to taste the wines of the region."

"One of three wines from the Moinié family with different aging potentials and prices, this is the simplest. It's fruity and made to be drunk young, with plenty of blackberry flavor. With its tannins, it will benefit from a few more months of age and be ready from 2018. - Roger Voss"

" In the trilogy of wines made at Ponzac, this is the one to drink young. It comes from chalky soil that gives soft tannins and ripe blackberry fruits. It is fruity and soft with just an edge of structure and with plenty of acidity to finish. Drink from 2017. - Roger Voss"
