2015 Clos Jean Alesi Cotes du Rhone - 90 PTS - WE

wine enthusiast 90 pts"Made from equal parts Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, this softly textured wine is full of plump blueberry and black-cherry flavors. It's a shamelessly hedonistic, fruity wine but hints of bitter char and granite as well as firm, rigid tannins lend structure. Drink now through 2024. - ANNA LEE C. IIJIMA"

2015 Clos Jean Alesi Cotes du Rhone - 91 PTS - WA

wa91"Loaded with sweet oak, the 2015 Cotes du Rhone is a full-bodied sexpot, oozing with vanilla, cedar and baking spice. This is plush and velvety on the palate, hugely attractive in its obvious charms, finishing long, layered and rich. I suppose one could quibble with the style, but I found it delicious for drinking over the next 5 years or so. The wine is made at Château Ségriès in Lirac. - Joe Czerwinski"

2015 Clos Jean Alesi Cotes du Rhone - 92 + PTS - JD

jeb dunnuck logo 250"What was previously known as the Clos Hermitage cuvée, the 2015 Côtes du Rhône Clos Jean Alesi is one-third each of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre that spent nine months in mostly once-used barrels (5% in new oak). It has a deep, graphite, mineral, and black-fruited profile, with subtle oak, medium to full body, and terrific purity. It’s relatively structured and will benefit from another year in bottle, but it’s a beautiful Côtes du Rhône that should see its 10th birthday in fine form."
