2011 Domaine de la Mordorée Lirac Rouge La Reine des Bois - 92 PTS - WA

Wine Advocate 92 Pts"Moving to the 2011 reds, and showing plenty of aromatic similarity to its big brother, the 2011 Lirac Cuvee de La Reine des Bois is a superb wine in the vintage. Offering up lively and clean notes of black raspberry, licorice, graphite and toasty notes, it is a medium-bodied, supple and beautifully polished Lirac meant for drinking over the coming 4-5 years. Drink now-2018. "

2012 Domaine de la Mordoree Lirac Cuvee de la Reine des Bois - 93 pts - WA

wa93"Even better, and a smoking Lirac that vies for the top wine of the appellation, the 2012 Lirac La Reine des Bois has gorgeous crème de cassis, licorice, pan drippings, wood spice and hints of graphite. Offering knockout purity, full-bodied richness and ultra-fine tannin, it tastes like a top flight Chateauneuf and will drink nicely for over a decade. - Jeb Dunnuck"

wa92"A head turner, the 2013 Lirac Cuvee de la Reine des Bois sports an inky purple color to go with classic notes of Provençal herbs, earth, leather and the essence of jammy blackberry-styled fruit. Medium to full-bodied, beautifully ripe and concentrated, buy this beauty by the case and drink it over the coming 8-10 years. - Jeb Dunnuck"

2013 Domaine de la Mordorée Lirac Rouge La Reine des Bois - 90 PTS - VINOUS

vinous logo 250"Deep ruby. Aromas of ripe dark fruit, spicecake and candied lavender gain vivacity from a smoky mineral element. Gently sweet, palate-staining blackberry and bitter cherry flavors turn fleshier and spicier with air and pick up a suggestion of cracked pepper. Chewy and focused, finishing with strong mineral cut and even tannins that are slowly absorbed by the dark fruit. - Josh Raynolds"

2014 Domaine de la Mordoree Lirac Cuvee de la Reine des Bois - 93 pts - WA

wa93"The 2014 Lirac Cuvee de La Reine des Bois is an incredible effort that transcends the vintage and is easily the wine of the vintage from Lirac. Possessing fabulous purity and elegance, with medium to full-bodied richness, classic notes of crème de cassis, caramelized meats, violets and licorice, sweet tannin and a great finish, I doubt it will be the longest lived example of this cuvée, but man, hats off to the team for this killer wine in a difficult vintage! - Jeb Dunnuck"
