"Ripe, yellow-fleshed fruit aromas with lemon oil and discreet slate aromas open the deep 2013 Trarbacher Burgberg Riesling Alte Reben. Medium to full-bodied, very pure, racy but quite elegant on the palate, the 2013 vintage is leaner and more full of finesse, but less rich and ripe than its predecessor. It also has a more pronounced acidity. This wine reveals a fascinating purity and I am quite sure this Burgberg will be a stunning wine (and potentially more fascinating than the more sensual 2012) in 3-4 years. — Stephan Reinhardt."
