2016 Château de Ségriès Lirac Rouge Cuvee Reservee - 91 PTS - JD - March 2019

jeb dunnuck logo 250"The 2016 Lirac Cuvée Réservée, another terrific wine from this estate, is mostly Grenache blended with 30% Syrah and 10% each of Cinsault and Mourvèdre. Destemmed and brought up all in tank, this medium to full-bodied effort has loads of chocolate covered cherries, candied violets, lavender, and earthy minerality in its medium to full-bodied, ripe, sexy profile. It’s one delicious mouthful of fruit and will continue delivering the goods for another 4-6 years."

jeb dunnuck logo 250"Lots of Bing cherry and wild strawberry fruit as well as plenty of licorice and baking spices, emerge from the 2017 Lirac Cuvée Réservée. Medium-bodied, nicely textured, with solid mid-palate depth and ripe tannins, this terrific Lirac can be enjoyed anytime over the coming 5-7 years."

2018 Château de Ségriès Lirac Rouge Cuvee Reservee - 88 PTS - JD

jeb dunnuck logo 250"A rock solid 2018 that has lots to love, the 2018 Lirac Cuvée Réservée offers a meaty bouquet of black cherry and blackberry fruits as well as notes of licorice and peppery herbs. Medium-bodied, nicely textured, and balanced, it has the charming, supple style of the vintage and is ideal for drinking over the coming 4-5 years."

2018 Château de Ségriès Lirac Rouge Cuvee Reservee - 90 PTS - WA

wa90"The cement-aged 2018 Lirac Cuvee Reservee is 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% each Carignan and Cinsault (the identical proportions as used in this estate's Côtes du Rhône). Slightly deeper, darker and richer, it's still a very approachable effort, loaded with black cherries and some resinous herbal notes. Medium to full-bodied, with a soft, velvety mouthfeel and a plush finish, it's a delicious wine to drink over the near term.- Joe Czerwinski"
