2020 Domaine de la Bégude Bandol Rose L'Irreductible - 92 PTS - DECANTER

decanter logo 250"Guillaume Tari aims to give his two rosés maximum Mourvèdre expression, and while his estate wine has fresh youthful floral, fruity charm, L’Irréductible takes the complexity a notch higher. Both are among the darkest Bandol rosés. From aromas of red berries and forest floor, the wine opens out to an explosion of cherries, strawberries, tart cranberries and crunchy red apples. A slightly sour, pithy finish and crisp acidity give the wine a long, mouthwatering freshness with the power and structure one expects from a Bandol rosé, while hinting at its beautiful ageing potential. Organic."

"A rosé that can be aged, this brings out richness, density and ripe red fruits. With its texture, acidity and concentration, the wine has light salinity as well as flavors from the wild herbs of the region. It is ready to drink but will be much better from 2022. Organic. - ROGER VOSS

2020 Domaine de la Bégude Bandol Rose L'Irreductible - 94 PTS - VINOUS

vinous logo"Light, vivid orange-pink. Intense red berry, pit fruit, nectarine, blood orange and floral scents on the highly perfumed, mineral-accented nose. Juicy and penetrating on the palate, offering concentrated nectarine, strawberry, orange pith and candied lavender flavors braced by a spine of juicy acidity. Shows superb clarity and mineral lift on the impressively long, chewy finish, which strongly repeats the pit fruit and floral notes. - Josh Raynolds"
