Gamba Vineyards and Winery
United States - California

Gamba Vineyards and Winery is a small, family owned and operated winery in Sonoma County, California. The winery was founded in 1999, by Agostino and Paulette Gamba, the realization of a life-long dream. The estate vineyards have been in the Gamba family for over 50 years, although the vineyard itself is over 100 years old.

Guided by the family heritage of over six generations of wine grape growing - it is a firm belief at Gamba that wines are made in the vineyard. Every Gamba Zinfandel is an individual expression of the vineyard with each unique vintage.
The limited production, hand crafted wines are a tribute to the art of farming, as much as they are to generations of old world, traditional winemaking. As the few remaining old vine vineyards slowly continue to disappear from the landscape, Gamba holds dear and strives to preserve what is quickly becoming a limited commodity - truly Old Vine Zinfandel.

The new generation has carried on with an eye on the future. Agostino Gamba, Jr. has been dedicated to continuing his family's wine grape farming tradition for over 25 years. It was the realization of a lifelong dream when in 1999, Agostino, along with his wife Paulette, started producing Gamba wine under their own label. It was a natural stepping stone for Agostino to reach this ultimate goal and bring the legacy full circle.

The vineyard has been organically dry farmed since its original planting in 1900, and produces a very limited yield of highly concentrated fruit.
