Nitida
South Africa - Western Cape

Nitida Farm Winery is located in the heart of the Durbanville Wine Valley. Owners Bernhard & Peta Veller purchased the land in 1990, and the first vines were planted two years later. In 1995, Nitida won their first award (double gold for their Sauvignon Blanc) and were recognized as a benchmark Semillon producer. Winemaker Daniel Keulder, previously of Groot Constantia, joined the team in 2014.

The Nitida label illustrations were hand drawn using inks made from Nitida tree leaves. Inspired by protea nitidus in the garden, they also feature local Renosterveld plants and some of the farm creatures.

The Nitida team share the belief that "beautiful wines come from day-to-day thoughtful management in the vineyards.” Grapes are hand picked and vineyard health is thoroughly monitored by a well experienced team.
