It's not for the masses. It's for you.
The Selkirk Abbey Brewing Company is located at the southern edge of the Selkirk Mountains in scenic Northern Idaho. The Brewery has an Abbey Themed tap room that is a warm, comfortable, and a surprising contrast from the building's industrial exterior.
The production floor is home to a seven barrel direct fire brewhouse built in 1999 by Diversified Metal Engineering of Charlottetown, PE Canada. The system is supported by three seven barrel fermenters and nine fifteen barrel fermenters. Based on a twenty one day cycle, the brewery can produce roughly twenty seven hundred barrels of beer per year.
Our current plan is to produce three year round beers, four seasonal beers and one or two "occasionals".
It is not our goal to be Idaho's largest brewery. There are several other breweries in the state better suited to that task. Our goal is to produce the best possible beer we can and deliver it to as many people who appreciate it that we can, while maintaining our unusually high standards.
