Located in the south of the Maconnais, the vineyards of Pouilly-Fuissé are planted on the slopes and the base of the Solutré and Vergisson rocks. They spread over four villages: Solutré-Pouilly Fuissé, Vergisson and Chaintré.
Pale gold color with green highlights. The wine offers an amazing purity of fruit with enticing aromas of citrus (lemon and grapefruit) supported by a mineral character, toasty notes and roasted peanuts. The wine is rich, generous and elegant in the mouth with complex flavors and a mineral finish.
Perfect with noble seafood (gambas, lobsters, crayfish) but also with foie gras and white meats with a creamy sauce (veal or poultry). Sushi pairs perfectly with its minerality. Ideal with Goat cheese.
"The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé has an attractive nose with lemon thyme, mint and yellow flower scents on the bright and lively nose. Fine delineation here. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh with hints of wild peach and ginger towards the finish. Good focus and plenty of energy, this is a worthy Premier Cru. Tasted blind at the BIVB Mâconnais tasting. - Neal Martin"

"This is a rounded, ripe and full-bodied wine, with spice and light toastiness that give richness. Apple and green-plum flavors are enhanced by the creamy texture and touches of apricots. It is young and drinkable now, although will likely be much better from the end of 2016."
