H.B. Languedoc Rose
Les Costieres de Pomerols
France - Languedoc-Roussillon - Côtes de Thau

HB Rosé comes from vineyards planted on clay and limestone hillsides called "costières" bordering the Etang de Thau. This coastal lagoon is situated between the port of Sète and Cap d’Agde.

Limpid and shiny colored wine with a beautiful bright salmon pink hue. Possessing a very expressive, charming and complex bouquet, the wine offers intense notes of ripe citrus and fruit candies. The palate is balanced, delicate, fresh, generous and ample, developing beautiful aromas of small red fruits (strawberry, red currants) and a long lasting mouthfeel balanced between roundness and freshness.

H.B. Languedoc Rosé - Somm Journal

somm journal purple logo"This 100% Grenache from 15- to 20-year-old vines is directpressed and cold-clarified for 48 hours before undergoing skin maceration to extract fruit intensity. Slow fermentation at 59 degrees Fahrenheit and aging on fine lees give it depth and intensity. On the nose are notes of ripe citrus and strawberry, while the palate brings peach, red currant, and strawberry within a well-structured mouthfeel, followed by a long, round finish. Packed with freshness and good acidity, the wine would be a perfect apéritif or accompaniment to an al fresco meal, perhaps including cheese drizzled in honey; the stunning packaging and attractive SRP also make it an eye-catching option for retailers to stock in summer."

vinous logo"Bright onion-skin color. Expansive aromas of raspberry, melon and white peach are complemented by a subtle floral note. Round and open-knit, showing good depth to its pit fruit and red berry flavors. Tightens up on the clinging finish, which features a spicy suggestion of white pepper. - Josh Raynolds"

i winereview logo"This direct pressed, 100% Grenache is grown on the clay and limestone hillsides (les costières) bordering the Etang de Thau in the Languedoc region. It’s a beautifully packaged rosé with a light pink salmon color. It offers a light floral perfume and a mouth filling, nicely balanced palate that evokes tart red berries. Finishes clean, bright and with good precision. The HB Chevalier Rosé is made by the 350 member strong cooperative Les Costieres de Pomerols. - Don Winkler"
