Pearmund Cellars Petit Verdot
Pearmund Cellars
United States - Virginia

100% Petit Verdot. Known primarily as a blending grape in Bordeaux's left bank. Its ability to grown and mature in Virginia makes it one of the States finest varietals.

Vintage Notes: Moderate temperatures during the growing season allowed for a leisurely ripening throughout the season. Because PV is often the last of the ‘Bordeaux Varietals" to ripen, the long season allowed us to keep it on the vine longer, creating what is a model example of what the Petit Verdot grape can be. The result is a highly decorated premium award winning wine.

Tasting Notes: Flavors of black raspberries, cassis, earthy wood, and spice on the nose. Flavors of blackberry, dried plum, sour cherry and cinnamon can be found, rounded out by the tannins, giving it a hearty mouth feel and long luscious finish.

This wine brims with aromas of glove leather, fig jam, currants and vanilla beans. The garnet extraction is intense with a unique bouquet and flavor.
