"The 2015 Brunello di Montalcino is dark and rooted firmly in the earth, showing crushed black cherries with a mix of green stems, undergrowth, moist mineral tones and savory spice. Silky textures contrasted by brisk acids, as tart black cherry, along with balsamic spice, savory herbs, leather and wild flowers all emerge. The finish is long and spicy, with just a bit of heat. Fine tannins settle in, drying out the dark red fruits and leaving a salty minerality that punctuates the experience quite nicely. - Eric Guido"
