2018 Siegel Special Reserve Chardonnay - 89 PTS - IWR

iwinereview"Showing a little more complexity than the Crucero, the Special Reserve is aged in French oak for 6 months. It offers good typicity of the Chardonnay varietal with notes of orchard fruit accented by hints of honeysuckle and flint. The mouth feel is soft, balanced and lightly flavored. It would pair well with simply prepared chicken breast or grilled trout. Aged in French oak barrels for 6 months."

wa88"A few dollars more than the Chardonnay Crucero, the 2015 Chardonnay Special Reserve comes from the Colchagua Valley, and shows slightly more body, muscle and depth, with lovely, melony poached pear and tangerine notes, honeysuckle and a hint of spice that probably emerges from a discreet use of oak. It is another beauty and an exceptional value. Drink now."
