vinous logo"Limpid orange. Strawberry and citrus pith with an herbal flourish on the nose and in the mouth. Takes a jammy turn with air and fnishes smooth and subtly warm, with the red fruit note lingering. Not the last word on complexity, but this is quite easy to drink. - Josh Raynolds"

2019 Alain de la Treille Le Rosé - GREAT VALUE - WP

wplogo"Labeled simply as Vin de France, this delightful rosé from Loire Valley producer Alain de la Treille is a blend of cabernet franc, gamay and pinot noir. It is bracing and refreshing, with bright flavors of strawberry and rhubarb. The 2018 is still available in Montgomery County — the stores listed below have that vintage. ABV: 12.5 percent."

jeb dunnuck logo 250"An interesting blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Gamay, and 20% Pinot Noir, the 2019 Le Rosé offers a lighter pink/ruby hue as well as a pretty bouquet of watermelon, cherries, and white flowers. Quite elegant and complex, it has medium-bodied richness on the palate, nicely integrated acidity, and a clean, dry finish. It’s more than a simple rosé and grows on you with time in the glass. It’s going to shine on the dinner table (or with tapas) over the coming summer months."

tastings 2019 gold"Brilliant salmon orange color. Interesting aromas and flavors of sweet pickle relish and spiced berries and plantains with a silky, bright, dry-yetfruity light-to-medium body and a delightful, medium-length finish imparting nuances of watermelon, Bing cherry, and nut brittle with a suggestion of oak flavor. A uniquely flavorful rose with a great savory character."

wa300"Spicy, herbal and peppery, with lots of floral and strawberry nuances, the 2015 Le Rose is medium-bodied, supple, and pretty on the palate, with solid acidity and texture. It won't be for everyone given the herbal edge, but there's plenty to like here. - Jeb Dunnuck"
