Located in the province of Verona, in the oddly named village of Pedemonte (which one would usually associate with Barolo and Barbaresco). Accordini is a master of the Ripassa style and the Corvina grape variety. Guido Accordini represents the third generation of his family to make wine.
Guido Accordini and his wife Liliana
The story of the winery began in 1821 in the heart of Valpolicella, an area with strong and deeply rooted tradition of viticulture and winemaking. This passion began thanks to an inheritance: three hectares of vineyards, whose wine was produced only for domestic use; the family used to love to spend springs and its spare time in this Cru, called “Le Bessole”.
The successful story started here, from a domestic production to a national and international business, thanks to the tireless and devoted work of Guido Accordini, Igino’s son, and his wife Liliana, who are managing the winery toward so enological innovation, never forgetting tradition.
From the original three hectares, Accordini Igino Winery currently owns 35 hectares of vineyards in the Valpolicella area.
As a result of the constant care and attention of Guido and his coworkers, Accordini Igino vineyards produce only high quality grapes, used to make traditional Valpolicella wines. The style is classic and extremely well focused. The growth and maturation of Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Rossignola grape varieties are continuously overseen to guarantee a high-quality wine production, thanks also to technical adaptation that limits treatments with pesticides and water wastefulness, fully respecting the environment.
From the original three hectares, Accordini Igino Winery currently owns 35 hectares of vineyards in the Valpolicella area. The beating heart of our winery keeps beating in San Pietro in Cariano, among the Verona hills, just few minutes from Verona center. The lines and style of the original winery have been renovated to adapt to new image and business need of the company, that projects itself in even new expanding businesses and markets. Here barrels and wood combine with modern lines, welcoming guests to a comfortable and informal location where you could taste Accordini Igino wines, accompanied by local food.
Black cherry color, pours thick, and with rich flavors. Bing cherries and Kirsch on the nose. Flavors like a ripe Châteauneuf du Pape with ample extract, red liquorice, and a persistent finish.

The wine is aged 60 months in oak barrels, then aged 24 months in tank, and another 10 years in the bottle before release.
Enjoy it with mature cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano and Grana Padano. Goes well with grilled meats, roasts. An excellent sipping wine and a great match with chocolate desserts.
