Sourced from neighboring vineyards located at 1,000 feet on the northwest crown of Sonoma Mountain, whose well-drained soils and exposure to cooling pacific winds lead to early budbreak, followed by long, consistent growing seasons.
Early morning harvest by hand, October 1st, cluster and berry sorted, destemmed and crushed. 5-day cold soaks, followed by 14 day native fermentation in open-top bins. Never racked prior to bottling. Bottled unfined, unfiltered.
Aging for 20 months in French oak, 30% new.
