40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc, 11% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot. 100% estate grown fruit.
This rosé is a combination of 7 unique blends produced during the 2017 harvest season, a testament to the complex nature of the final marriage of these individual fermentations. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec portions of the blend come from juice produced in the direct-press method, by which whole cluster grapes are selected with ideal levels of sugar and acidity for rose and pressed after chilling the whole clusters. The remainder of the blend comes from individual fermentations of saignée juice produced throughout the harvest season, comprised of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Brought together, the amalgamation of the individual blends presents itself as a truly complex expression of the nuanced flavors of all five of our estate-grown Bordeaux grapes.
