Made with fruit from neighboring, family-owned vineyards, with a combination of grapes from old and younger vines (5-20 years old).
The low-yielding organically grown vines from our 2013 Family Ranches produced a rich, powerful and yet elegant Zinfandel characterized by a dark garnet to purple hue, verging on opaque. Deep blackberry, black cherry, and allspice aromas fill the glass.
On the palate, the wine is perfectly balanced with harmonious tannins, acidity, and fruit, and seamlessly transitions into an opulent, ripe blackberry mulberry and black cherry potpourri of flavors on the palate, with supple, well-integrated tannins. The juicy flavors and opulent texture layer into a toasty, cinnamon and spice finish. The sensuous, layered flavors persist in a long finish.
