Cuvee Jana is made with grapes coming from the "Chaillot" parcel. It has a SSW sun exposure and it is located at 250 meters in altitude. The soil is composed of sand, decomposed granite, but also a good amount of Limestone giving more body and structure, which can handle the new oak treatment and longer ageing potential.
Manual harvest, selection of the grapes, full clusters, fermentation in tanks for 3 weeks, daily remontage and pigeage.
Malolactic fermentation in 500 liter oak demi-muids barrel and aging on the lees for 12-18 months in barrels (For the 2015 vintage, it was 1 new oak 500-liter demi-muids barrel).
The average age of the vines is 12 years.
