"Made from 100% Picpoul, the 2012 Picpoul de Pinet comes across like a classic Muscadet from the northern Loire Valley. Lots of crushed rock, grapefruit and lemon zest characteristics, in addition to more texture and flesh than one expects from this varietal, are found in this lovely, medium-weight, dry white. It is best consumed over the next year. These four dry whites from Le Jade (one of the brands coming from the large Cave de Pomerols) are all noteworthy values (their reds are much less impressive)."
