Single vineyard (10 hectares) Average age of the vines: 20 years old 55% Flint soil + 35% Caillotes + 10% Terres Blanches (Kimmeridgian Marl) Vinification: cold fermentation in stainless steel tank, no oak, no malolactic fermentation.
A delicious wine, perfect with fish dishes, especially salmon, and a local goat cheese Crottin de Chavignol.
"A bright, herbaceous style, with flint, thyme and chive notes bouncing off one another, carried by crackling acidity
through the racy finish. A chalky echo adds length. Drink now through 2019. 5,000 cases made. - J.M."

"A flinty sauvignon cushioned by passion fruit richness, this presents ripeness in its soft, accommodating textures, while a line of greenness and flintiness runs underneath. In fact, more than half of this 25-acre vineyard is silex soils, the balance made up of caillottes and terres blanches. Give this wine a year to integrate in the bottle."

"The wine is ripe and soft, with a style that is more towards tropical fruits. So apricots, ripe pears are cut with crisp acidity. The wine is tangy at the end with orange zest flavors. Drink from 2017."

"This ripe, full wine has layers of green fruits over the acidity and mineral texture. It is structured and shows plenty of tight texture. But the fruitiness dominates, giving a refreshing edge and a crisp aftertaste."

"The 100% Sauvignon Blanc, the 2014 Sancerre La Reine Blanche, comes from a single vineyard and offers loads of crushed chalk and dust intermixed with grapefruit, lemon blossom and a hint of quince. It is fresh, medium-bodied and best drunk over the next 3-4 years."

"Firm and nervy, this radiates coolness, from the feel of its acidity to its crunchy sour cherry fruit. It's clean and precise, held firm by the limestone notes that run under the fruit. A terrific pour for a beet and goat cheese salad."

"Based in Verdigny, the Reverdy family has been farming since the 17th century. This single-site bottling, aged in steel, bursts with layered notes: thyme, river stones, quince and green apple. It's mineral-packed but mouth-filling, with a masterful polish to the texture and peach-like sweetness."
San Fransisco Chronicle (August 10th 2012)
"One of the most famous family names of the Loire Valley is Reverdy, and this particular one, Jean Reverdy, has turned out an outstanding 2011 Sancerre La Reine Blanche. Clean, pure notes of white flowers, quince, melon, and white peach are all present in this surprisingly opulent, fleshy, rather exuberant and flamboyant style of Sancerre, which is quite dry but surprisingly plush. Drink it over the next several years, as I don’t think it will be very long-lived."
