The vineyard is situated in the Cotes de Bordeaux-Cadillac appellations, and encompasses 65 hectares. “Artolie” is the name of an outstanding parcel planted with Merlot at high density (7000f/ha), selected rootstocks, on a gravely slope overlooking a stream which name is “L’Artolie”. The vines, planted in gravel and clay "terroir", benefit from favorable south-south east facing slopes and plateaus.
Vineyard is now certified organic after a few years of conversion.
Density : 7000 feet/ha.
Vinification : Grapes are handpicked in small crates, hand de-stemmed then fermented in customized 500 liter French Oak portal barrels. After pressing grapes, barrels are re-closed. There will happen malolactic fermentation and ageing for 15 months.
