- Sonoma County
This artful, estate grown wine is a blend of the five classic Bordeaux varieties: 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 6% Malbec. Cabernet Sauvignon forms the base structure and Merlot contributes abundant fruit flavors and supple texture. The other three varietals add depth and nuance. We harvested the grapes from select blocks on our three ranches in Alexander Valley, a Sonoma County appellation renowned for these varieties.
Aromas of black currant, clove, warm spices and sage are the wine's first impressions. On the palate the wine is deep and layered, a seamless integration of ripe fruit, French oak and fine-grained tannins. Delicious now, the solid structure and abundant fruit suggest this wine will age well for 5 – 10 years with proper cellaring.
