The Vinterra Sauvignon Blanc displays fresh, lively gooseberry, passionfruit and citrusy aromas on the nose with a nice tropical note at the end resembling guava and passionfruit. The palate is structured and intense with a fresh tropical finish. A wine to be enjoyed over the next two to three years.

The fruit was harvested in the cool of the night and transported to our winery in one tonne bins where it was gently pressed. Only the free run juice and light pressings were settled and cool fermented for an average of 21 days. Following five months of yeast lees contact the various parcels of Sauvignon Blanc were blended together lightly fined and filtered prior to bottling.

"Although this Sauvignon is from a region 180 miles south of Marlborough, it exhibits similar characters to its more famous neighbor. Heady aromas of grapefruit, lime, jalapeño pepper and nettles lead to a bright and citrusy palate. A touch of residual sugar helps balance the zingy acidity and adds texture and fruit weight to this simple but gluggable wine. - Christina PICKARD"
