maipe reserva malbec 2013 hq bottle"Chakana’s wines are getting better with every vintage under winemaker Gabriel Bloise." - Tim Atkin, Argentina Special Report

Warm up with these juicy, 90+ point reds from Argentina!

2015 Chakana Estate Red Blend - "A 60/40 blend of malbec and cabernet sauvignon, this wine's fruit gains its freshness and floral notes from a high-altitude, cool-climate site. Texturally round, it had a lovely, creamy texture, with spices all over the palate. A charming flowery finish adds complexity. Think of grilled pork tenderloin to go with it." - Wine & Spirits Magazine (February 2017), 92 pts

2014 Chakana Estate Malbec"...the nose is ripe and fruit-driven, with aromas of dark cherries and plums plus a subdued minerality and a touch of spices. Most noticeable is the really well-integrated oak (only founder and well-seasoned barrels are used for this wine). The palate is juicy, fresh and has good balance with a somewhat bittersweet finish that is attractive and commercial. This is a great expression of fresh and elegant Malbec from Altamira at a very attractive price point." - The Wine Advocate (Issue #220, August 2015), 91 pts
93pts Tim Atkin / 91pts Wine & Spirits Magazine

2015 Maipe Reserve Malbec"A red with lots of dried fruit and spices follow through to a medium to full body, silky tannins and a fresh finish. Drink now."
- James Suckling (May 23rd 2016), 92 pts

summer white

Crisp, fresh Sauvignon Blanc makes a great summertime wine. It pairs well with grilled fish and summer salads, and is perfectly refreshing for sipping on its own.

New Zealand is considered to be the Sauvignon Blanc capital of the world. You'll recognize their Sauvignon Blancs by their herbaceous aromas, juicy gooseberry flavors and zesty citrus zing.

Kysela offers three Sauvignon Blancs from New Zealand:

Rubus Sauvignon Blanc (2015) - produced from grapes grown in select Waipara Valley vineyards. Rich gooseberry and tropical fruit aromas with an edge of complexity. Lively and refreshing with a long, lingering finish.

Vinterra Sauvignon Blanc (2015) - from the popular Marlborough region of New Zealand, this wine is quite enjoyable. Fresh, lively berry, passion fruit and citrusy aromas on the nose. Structured and intense with a fresh tropical finish.

Kennedy Point Sauvignon Blanc (2014) - Robert Parker of The Wine Advocate calls this Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc an 'outstanding value.' He describes it as "crisp and fresh with a hint of herbaceousness intermixed with notes of wet pebbles, melon and caramelized citrus; medium-bodied, surprisingly long and very well-crafted.”

“Figures like these confirm beyond a doubt that America has fallen in love with rosé,” says Eric Dufavet, Director of Wines of Provence. This small grower is located in the Grand Cru Village of Chouilly. Founded in 1951 by André Champion, his son Roland expanded the company by purchasing some new land, and gave his name to the family house of Champagne. François is the third generation of the family and continues in his father's footsteps. He is the enologist and currently runs the company with the help of his daughter Carole. Kysela has been proudly representing this top notch property since 2008, and it has become a house favorite.

Grand Cru Special Club - this one is the best of the best. The 'Special Club' is an elite group of Champagne growers. To be a member of this Club, Champagne producers have to elaborate their Cuvées in their own facility, meaning the pressing, bottling, ridding, disgorging, etc., have to be done at the domaine/estate. Then, only the Recoltants-Manipulants are accepted. The club has strict rules and tastings to ensure quality. There are currently 26 members, each of whom can produce his Special Club with his own techniques.

With its light aromas of apple, almond, pear, Gambellara's Soave offers a pleasant, creamy texture in the mouth. This 100% Garganega is lightly flavored with an interesting acidity. The soil's volcanic origin gives a nice presence of mineral saltiness. A great choice for turkey.
