Kysela's Business Model

Kysela works with suppliers exclusively on one of these three levels:

  • International distribution territory
  • USA distribution territory (all 50 states & DC)
  • VA/DC/MD distribution territory

Kysela requires a minimum 2% sampling budget from our suppliers.

Kysela requires supplier work-withes.

Suppliers must complete new item and/or supplier forms before purchase orders can be issued.

Purchase orders are specific in terms of vintage, product, size, etc.; any changes require approval from Kysela before shipping.

Agricultural Methods Survey

Many wineries are now using Organic, Biodynamic or Sustainable agricultural methods. While certifications vary by country and region, this document provides a general description of these farming practices.

Because we often receive inquiries from customers or potential customers about which of our wineries and/or wines are organic, biodynamic or sustainable, we are compiling a list of those that meet this criteria. Please read over this information, answer the questions at the end of the document, and send your responses to Sara Lewis, This email address is being protected from spambots. SCC Labeling

At the request of many of our valued distributors, and due to warehousing requirements in several states, Kysela now requires an SCC (shipping container code) bar code on all outer cartons. A Shipping Container Code is a 14 digit code used to identify the product within the shipping container/case, and is an enhancement to the UPC that appears on the individual selling unit within the case. The following is an example:

scc

Kysela will provide you with both a UPC bottle barcode & an SCC carton barcode for each product we purchase from you. These codes are not vintage specific, but they ARE size specific (different codes are required for 750ml, 1.5L, etc.).

The SCC case codes must be printed on the cartons as follows:
a. code must be printed on two adjacent sides
b. must be at least 3" from the bottom of the carton
c. must be at least 2" from either edge of the carton
d. code must be at least 2" tall x 5" wide
e. the 14 digits in the code must be spaced as such: 0 00 00000 00000 0
*NOTE - if the code cannot be printed on the carton, a case label is sufficient.

The shipping container code is now a requirement for doing business with many distributors in the US Market. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
