Unlike most people that got into the wine world, Ted didn’t grow up exposed to wine. He fell into completely by accident, starting by selling nothing but Burgundy and Rhone at Burgundy Wine Company in NYC (a famous NYC retailer). From there, the proverbial wine bug bit him and it was off to the races. He spent time in retail and wholesale in NY and CT, including 5 years with Skurnik Wines. Plus, worked for an importer/winery in Sonoma and even passed with distinction his WSET Advanced. But the draw to Kysela was too strong and when a chance opportunity arose, he jumped at it, allowing him to spread the gospel in New England. When he’s not working, Ted spends time with his wife and two kids in their little slice of heaven on the CT shoreline. Ted loves all things wine, family, history, traveling, reading, playing guitar and is a Deadhead for life!
