Alesation Brewing, located in Old Town Winchester, Virginia, was founded in 2016 by father and son Benjamin & Caleb Ritenour. The brewery is named for Alsace, the homeland of the Ritenour family.
Caleb and head brewer Paul Froeschle began making small test batches in March 2015, tinkering with recipes until they finally had finished products that they were ready to share with the public. They opened with 6 offerings, including Pizza Bier – a complement to the Ritenour family’s other business, wood fired pizza. Alesation takes pride in its quality ingredients and dedication to freshness.
