"A new wine from Drew honoring co-owner Molly Drew’s maiden name, the 2023 Syrah Cuvee Nicholas is blended from one barrel each from the estate, Perli, and Valenti vineyards. A wealth of combustible spice aromas and flavors jump out, from anise and white pepper, adding to the complex swirl of lifted salinity. Both floral and meaty, it’s a tightly coiled wine with firm tannins, lots of structure, and some medium-bodied girth with incredible aging potential. Enjoy best 2028-2038. - Virginie BOONE"
