2012 Alain Jaume Gigondas Terrasses de Montmirail - 90-92 PTS - WA

Wine Advocate 92 Pts"Along the same lines, the Alain Jaume 2012 Gigondas Terrasses de Montmirail is a mostly Grenache, with 20% Syrah, that’s aged 14 months in 20% barrels. Showing classic Gigondas spice, dried garrigue, saddle leather and blackberry and raspberry fruit, this medium to full-bodied Gigondas is loaded with Provencal character. Drink it over the coming 6-7 years. Drink now-2021. -JD"

2013 Alain Jaume Gigondas Terrasses de Montmirail - 90 PTS - VINOUS

vinous logo 250"Vivid ruby. Spice-accented blackberry and pungent flowers on the highly fragrant nose. Supple dark berry liqueur and lavender pastille flavors are lifted and sharpened by a peppery nuance and a hint of smoky minerals. Puts on weight with air and closes on an appealingly sweet note, displaying strong persistence and smooth, even tannins. - Josh Raynolds"

2013 Alain Jaume Gigondas Terrasses de Montmirail - 90+ pts - WA

wa90"While Gigondas struggled in 2014, the 2013s were surprisingly successful. The 2013 Gigondas Terrasses de Montmirail is nicely concentrated and structured, with lots of classic graphite, smoked earth, mineral and black fruit characteristics on both the nose and palate. Made from 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Mourvedre, it has excellent purity of fruit, good acidity and fine tannin, all of which should keep it drinking nicely through 2024. - Jeb Dunnuck"

2014 Alain Jaume Gigondas Terrasses de Montmirail - 90 PTS - VINOUS

vinous logo 250"Deep ruby. Ripe cherry and boysenberry scents are sharpened by suggestions of cracked pepper and smoky minerals. Plush and appealingly sweet, offering fleshy red and blue fruit flavors and a touch of candied flowers. The peppery note comes back slowly on the long, sappy finish, which is framed by talc-y tannins that fold nicely into the juicy fruit. - Josh Raynolds"

2015 Alain Jaume Gigondas Terrasses de Montmirail - 90-92 pts - WA

wa300"Another winner is the 2015 Gigondas Terrasses de Montmirail. Coming from higher elevation sites and mostly limestone soils, its vibrant purple color is followed by beautiful spice, black raspberry, kirsch and dried flower-like aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, balanced and polished, with plenty of fruit yet also solid underlying ripe tannic structure, buy a case and enjoy bottles over the coming 7-8 years. - Jeb Dunnuck"
