"The entry level cuvée is the 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape Le Miocene, which is based on 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 10% Mourvedre. Its deeper ruby/purple color is followed by an impressive, medium-bodied, concentrated effort displaying classic darker cherry fruits as well as peppery garrigue and classic Provençal notes. It's balanced and well worth drinking over the coming decade."

"A rather elegant Chateauneuf with plenty of red fruits and some floral notes, plus a touch of tomato ketchup. Very good fruit, but also a solid base of tannins on the medium- to full-bodied palate.
