2015 Siegel Unique Selection Red Los Lingues - 91 PTS - IWR

iwinereview"This blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Carmenere, and 20% Syrah is more than the sum of its parts. Opening with an emphatic perfume of cedar, cracked pepper and dark fruit, it offers a seamless mouth feel and deep, dense flavors. Fine grained tannins lend just the right amount of structure to this excellent Chilean red blend. Aged in French oak for 14-16 months."

"A warm nose features a mixture of cheesy oak, brambly spice, foresty hints and bold black fruit scents. The palate on this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère and Syrah is flush, with gravelly tannins and some heat. Balsamic dark-berry flavors show hints of eucalyptus and juniper, while a flavor-packed finish rumbles along on the heels of grating tannins. Drink through 2026. - MICHAEL SCHACHNER

tim atkin logo 250"The blend - Cabernet Sauvignon with 55% Carmenère and Syrah - might not be unique, but this is certainly a special wine from the best zones of Los Lingues, showing serious, aromatic mint, black cherry and cassis fruit, bold tannins and the structure to age further in bottle. 2022-29"

vinous logo"The 2018 Unique Selection is a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Carménère and 20% Syrah from the Colchagua Valley. It was aged for 30 months in French oak barrels. Dark garnet red in hue. The nose offers notes of candied blackberry, blackcurrant, sweet spice, and prune jam. Indulgent in the mouth, the grippy tannins make themselves felt on the gums while the palate is compact and extractive. The broad, voluminous flow ends with a chutney-inflected finish. - Joaquín Hidalgo"

"This blend includes 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Carménère and 20% Syrah coming from Colchagua Valley. Aromas of blackberry, raspberry and a touch of coffee bean emerge from the glass. A solid structure supports vanilla and other baking spices mixed with blackberries and blueberries. Lively acidity leads the flavors into a fruity aftertaste. - Jesica Vargas"
