Manolo “Arnoya” began his journey in the world of wine more than 60 years ago with a small personal project that ended up becoming a large business group with 5 wineries spread throughout Galicia (in the Northwest Spain). Manuel and Myriam, children of the founder, picked up the baton and today continue his legacy with the same family character and the same passion with which their father started this project.
They now own 120 hectares in the Condado and Ulla subzones. In addition, they collaborate with local winegrowers whose vineyards are located in the O Salnés and O Rosal subzones.
D.O. Rías Baixas
This designation of origin is the largest wine producer in Galicia, exceeding 32 million kilos of grapes, and one of the best positioned internationally. The geographical area of the Denomination is divided into five sub-zones: Val do Salnés, Condado do Tea, O Rosal, Soutomaior and Ribeira do Ulla.
Rías Baixas is the “cradle” of the Albariño variety, since its maximum potential is reached due to the Atlantic climate that is characterized by low, cold and soft temperatures and with sandy-sandy terrain. As a consequence of this climate, the grapes ripen at average temperatures of 26-28ºC, resulting in musts with a balanced acidity and wines with a complex aromatic potential and high freshness.
