Hugl Rosselberg Horse Hill Gruner Veltliner
Austria - Weinviertel

Weinviertel is the largest wine-producing region in Austria with 13,000 hectares of vineyards. Hugl wines come from the town of Poysdorf, 50 km north of Vienna. Wine has been produced in this area since the 15th century. Deep-seated loess and loam soils, gently rolling vineyards, high sunshine hours as well as significant daytime temperature differences give ideal conditions every year for distinctive, fruity wines, in particular for Grüner Veltliner.
Hugl Rosselberg is a powerful and full-bodied Grüner Veltliner with intense ripe fruits, elegant spicy and white pepper aromas, a long finish.

Wine Type
100% Gruner Veltliner
Soil type
loess, loam
The ripe grapes are processed very gently with 12 hours on the skins and then fermented under temperature controlled conditions in oak barrels. Matured on the fine lees for 6 months.

A firm mineral backbone gives it the strength of character to work well with many cuisines. Game and beef dishes, as well as desserts, or simply on its own for an enjoyable evening.
