A wine that embodies the winemaking tradition of the Maule coastal drylands. Made from old Carignan vines grown using the gobelet method, this blend with Syrah is part of Chile's first recognized appellation of origin: VIGNO. Its deep and vibrant character, the result of poor soils, a humid Mediterranean climate, and traditional techniques, faithfully expresses the heritage of the valley and the spirit of collaboration that gave rise to it.
Origin: D.O. Santa Elena de Loncomilla, Maule Valley
Color: Very intense purple-red.
Aroma: Intense notes of tart cherries, red cherries, and black plums, with violets and subtle hints of coffee and dark chocolate.
Flavor: Juicy and fresh red fruit, tense structure, marked tannins, and great concentration. A young wine with great persistence and aging potential.
Pot roasts, beef tartar, rabbitstew, Asturian bean stew, game meats and stick-roasted lamb.
"Savory berries and orange peel with some sweet spices and a hint of hazelnut. Bright and zesty, with a medium-bodied profile and firm, slightly chewy tannins that are resolving now. Quite long on the finish. Drink now. - Zekun Shuai (Senior Editor)"

"Sourced from Melozal, the 2021 Morandé contains 12% Syrah and was matured for two years in third-use barrels. Its enticing, expressive nose of ripe red fruits, turned earth and black pepper aromas leads to a saturated, taut, sleek palate with a tenacious, focused core. The wine concludes with a focused, layered finish that is simultaneously generous yet nuanced and continuously reveals more length and intensity with aeration. I suspect this will age very well over the next decade. - Matthew LUCZY"

"Sour red berries, freshly crushed blueberries and cherries with a touch of hibiscus and graphite. Medium-bodied and super juicy and crunchy on the palate, with fresh and soft tannins. Long and succulent finish with plenty of ripe, fresh fruit at the end. Carignan and 8% syrah grafted to país. This is from one of the warmer sites of Maule. Delicious to drink now. - Zekun Shuai (Senior Editor)"
