"The 2019 Rosé is a mostly a blend of 28% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% each of Cabernet Franc and Merlot, with various others filling out the blend. It comes in with three grams of residual sugar, 7.2 of total acidity and 12.8% alcohol. The unusual addition of Sauvignon Blanc, says the winery, was to add acidity and liveliness. Well, that is a nice success story. This is spicy, distinctive and wonderfully fresh. It has reasonable body, but the bright feel and intense (but dry) flavors make this a pleasure. It's a serious style with some tension and perkiness. It's probably not the best red wine substitute in style, but it will hold up to lighter foods just fine. It will wake you up on a warm day too. - Mark Squires"
