"The 2015 Trellis is a blend of 38% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot, aged for 12 months in 35% new French oak. It comes in at 13% alcohol. This is an elegant, easy-to-drink red. It tastes great. There isn't a lot of structure or concentration, but the texture is sensual and it shows very well. There's a little crème brûlée on the finish from the wood. When I went back and retasted, though, it pulled in the wood and showed better structure too. It seemed a bit more serious. This a great food wine. I don't think it is quite as good as the Topiary or the Reserve this issue, but it isn't as far off as my first taste suggested. - Mark Squires"
