2014 Kinsella Estates Cabernet Sauvignon Spencer Vineyard - 95 PTS - WA

wa95"A blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Petit Verdot, with 345 cases produces, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Spencer Vineyard is equally impressive, exhibiting more graphite notes along with licorice, underbrush and copious quantities of blackcurrant and blackberry fruit. The wine is full-bodied, with sweet tannin (characteristic of all of these Kinsella Cabernet Sauvignons). Readers know that sometimes Dry Creek Cabernets can be rustic in their tannic framework, but that is not the case here. - RP"

2016 Kinsella Estates Cabernet Sauvignon Spencer Vineyard - 93 PTS - JD

jeb dunnuck logo 250"These releases are made by Thomas Rivers Brown. The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Spence Vineyard comes from a site in the Dry Creek Valley and reveals a deep purple color as well as a pure bouquet of currants, cassis, spice box, tobacco, and earth. I love its balance, and it has full-bodied richness, ripe tannins, and a dusty, mineral-like character on the finish. I'd be thrilled to drink bottles any time over the coming 10-15 years."

2016 Kinsella Estates Cabernet Sauvignon Spencer Vineyard - 95 PTS - WA

wa95"Very deep purple-black colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Spencer Vineyard charges out of the gate with bold Black Forest cake, crème de cassis and preserved plums expressions, plus hints of Chinese five spice, sandalwood, dried lavender and chocolate box with a waft of espresso. The full-bodied palate is completely filled with concentrated black and blue fruit preserves flavors, accented by tons of exotic spices and framed with a beautifully plush texture, finishing very long and achingly fragrant. - Lisa PERROTTI-BROWN"
