Go To Kershaw Chardonnay Lake District Bokkeveld Shale CY95

"Minerals and a hint of flint on the nose. The expressive minerality of this wine also shows on the palate with complementary light stone fruit notes. Aged in 50% new 228L oak aging for 11 months."
"The 2018 Kershaw Deconstructed Lake District Bokkeveld Shale CY95 is sharper and more mineral-driven than the CY96, presenting scents of red apple, citrus peel, crushed stone and melon. The oak is beautifully integrated. The palate is well balanced and precise, slightly creamy in texture on the entry and revealing gorgeous orange zest and black currant leaf notes on the finish. A cerebral and compelling Chardonnay from Kershaw.- Neal Martin"
"A wonderfully assured expression of what Richard Kershaw calls a "classic year for Chardonnay" made with the CY95 clone planted in the western part of Elgin. Racy, taut and perfumed, with oatmeal and citrus flavours, good extract and top notes of wood smoke struck match. Classy stuff. 2022-27"
