2014 Boich Wall Road Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon - 91 PTS - WA

wa91"Another mountain Cabernet, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Wall Road Vineyard from Mt. Veeder, reveals beautiful raspberry, blueberry and floral notes and sweet tannin in a complex style. The wine has loads of fruit, not a great deal of body, but enough to qualify as a medium-bodied wine, with soft tannins in the finish. One rarely sees a quintessentially elegant wine from Mt. Veeder, as most of them tend to be blockbusters, but this certainly qualifies. It has an attractive personality, and the finish is long and reassuring. This is a beauty to drink now and over the next 10-15 years – a sleeper of the vintage."

2015 Boich Wall Road Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon - 95 PTS - JS

james suckling hq logo plain"This is some very serious stuff. Aromas of tar, vanilla and cloves. But the fruit is delicious with notes of boysenberries, blackcurrants, oranges, lavender, herbs and baking spices. The palate's rich and warming but also calm and composed. Layers of blue fruit, ripe yet integrated tannins, a fine line of acidity and a long finish. The broader style remains so elegant. Drink in 2022."
